Serafin Zubiri competes in Mira Quien Baila

Serafin Zubiri has decided to follow the footsteps of fellow Spanish Eurovision Song Contest representatives Rosa and David Civera. He will be competing in the forthcoming edition of Mira Quien Baila the Spanish version of Strictly Come Dancing aired on TVE; the same programme chose the Spanish couple Abraham and Amagoya to represent them at the Eurovision Dance Contest.

Serafin Zubiri who hails from Navarra in the north of Spain has represented Spain on 2 occasions, coincidentally both times in Sweden. On each occasion he made the Spanish proud with his ballads Todo Esto Es La Musica (Malmo 1992) and Colgado De Un Sueno (Stockholm 2000) though the songs ranked 14th and 18th respectively.

Serafin will be the first blind artist to compete in Mira Quien Baila. The set and stage of the forthcoming edition of the show have been altered to meet Serafin's requirements. The latest edition of Mira Quien Baila is scheduled to kick off on Monday the 17th of September on TVE and will be aired live on TVE International. Will Serafin be able to follow the footsteps of his fellow Spanish Eurovision representatives Rosa and David Civera who went on to win the Spanish audience's heart with their dancing and winning the competition?

Mira Quien Baila is hosted by Anne Irgatiburu, a well known Spanish presenter. She is familiar to many Eurovision fans as she has been the spokesperson who has announced the Spanish televoting results at the Eurovision Song Contest several times. Mira Quien Baila held a special edition to choose their Eurovision Dance Contest representatives Abraham and Amagoya.
