The group Elaiza, who represented Germany at this years’ Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen, Denmark, will be performing a concert in the German city Würzburg on Wednesday 22 October 2014.

Elaiza is a trio originating from Berlin, formed by singer-songwriter and pianist Elzbieta “Ela” Steinmetz, who is of mixed Ukrainian and Polisch heritage, accordionist Yvonne Grünwald, and string bass-player Natalie Plöger.

Their distinct sound is a mixture of pop, folk and alternative music. Via YouTube the group applied for the wild-card to compete in the German preselection of the Eurovision Song Contets 2014. They were eventually picked to perform at the preliminary club concert in Hamburg, and won this event. Thus earning a place in the national German final on 13 March 2014 in the Lanxess-Arena, Cologne, Elaiza won the national selection with their song Is It Right? At the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen, Denmark, Elaiza earned the 18th place in the grand final. Their Eurovsion entry became a national hit, and also sparked attention for the trio in other countries.

On Wednesday 22 October 2014, 19.00 German time, Elaiza will play a concert at the Posthalle in the German city Würzburg. The group will perform songs from their debut-album Gallery.
