Luxembourg’s Eurovision OGAE Committee is preparing the 7th edition of its Eurovision Gala Night. What’s brewing…? Just keep reading…

The Chapito hall of Casino 2000 in Mondorf-lesBains will host the 7th Eurovision Gala Night on 25 October 2014 from 20:00 CET. The event is organized every year since 2007 by the Luxembourg’s Eurovision OGAE Committee with the support of the country’s Ministry of Culture.

Despite the fact that the gala takes place in a country that has missed the Eurovision Song Contest for a long time (to much disappointment of all the Contest’s fans), the party does not lack any charm or glamour, and certainly it has a Eurovision fine taste.

A singing competition will be held with sixteen finalists who were already cast. The performances will be evaluated by an international jury and the audience.

The attendees will have the opportunity to be delighted by the appearances on the stage of the previous Eurovision winners Conchita Wurst, Alexander Rybak and Linda Martin.

OGAE Luxembourg organizes the gala with the partnership of such sponsors as the Ministry of Culture of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, the Austrian Embassy, the host town of Mondorf-les-Bains, the airline Luxair, Post Luxembourg and many media partners. Ministers, Ambassadors and Luxembourgish Eurovision past participants will be among the guests.

Sounds good, doesn’t it? Do you want to be among the privileged public of the gala? The presale ticket is sold at 30€, and the reservations can be placed on www.galanight.net or by sending an e-mail to [email protected]. Please remember that formal attire is required.

A shuttle from the city to the Casino 2000 on 25 October will be available for the fans. The shuttle will cover the route back to the town at 1:00 or 4:00 CET.

The Eurovision Gala Night is a charity event. The collected funds will be donated to the Luxembourg Red Cross.

The main event on 25 October will be preceded by a Welcome Party for the fans on 24 October. The entry ticket for this costs 10€, it can be paid at the entrance but registration by e-mail to [email protected] is required.

As mentioned before, quite a huge event even though Luxembourg has missed its Eurovision date since their last participation in 1993 with Modern Times singing Donne-moi une chance. Still the prestigious record of the country in the Eurovision Song Contest justifies by far the effort of OGAE Luxembourg in the gala: Luxembourg obtained five victories and it was represented by such singers as France Gall, Vicky Leandros, Lara Fabian and Nana Mouskouri. An imprint in the history of the Eurovision Song Contest that remains engraved in the memories of the fans…
