Monday evening the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest was officially declared open. Esctoday.com attended the reception so that our readers would not miss out on this special evening.

In the video below Thomas Lundin, the commentator for the Swedish language TV channel (FST5) in Finland, who is also known by many fans as the Finnish expert in the Nordic preview shows, welcomed everyone to Finland. We caught the German participant Roger Cicero just as he arrived at the reception. Todomondo who had just arrived from a late rehearsal declares their love to esctoday.com. Montenigrin competitor Stevan Faddy is just about to head back to his hotel to prepare for rehearsal tomorrow.

Les Fatals Picards from France, Eric Papilaya from Austria and D'NASH from Spain were enjoying the party, but still found time to say hello to you.
