Eurovision 2014: Draw for first 10 qualifiers unveiled

This evening, a press conference for the first 10 qualifiers took place. During the conference, the allocation draw took place to determine which country would perform which half of the 2014 Eurovision grand final.

Earlier today, the allocation draw took place for the Big 5 countries; the countries which automatically qualify to the grand final. You can read more about the Big 5 draw here.

The allocation draw for the 10 semi-final 1 qualifiers are as follows:

  • Montenegro – Sergej will perform in the first half of the grand final.
  • Hungary – Andras will perform in the second half of the grand final.
  • Russia – The Tolmachevy Sisters will perform in the second half of the grand final.
  • Armenia – Aram will perform in the first half of the grand final.
  • Azerbaijan – Dilara will perform in the first half of the grand final.
  • San Marino – Valentina will perform in the second half of the grand final.
  • Ukraine – Mariya will perform in the first half of the grand final.
  • Sweden – Sanna will perform in the first half of the grand final.
  • The Netherlands – The Common Linnets will perform in the second half of the grand final.
  • Iceland – Pollapönk will perform in the first half of the grand final.

The official and complete running order will be presented on Thursday night/Friday morning.

The second semi-final will take place on Thursday 8 May where 15 acts will compete for a place in the grand final. Just like the first semi-final, only 10 participants will qualify.
