Axel Hirsoux secured the right to represent Belgium at the Eurovision Song Contest after winning the Eurosong 2014 national selection. He will perform his dramatic ballad Mother on the stage in Copenhagen on the 6 May for the first semi-final. In a recent interview with esctoday.com, Axel described his song as a ‘thank you’ to all the mothers. But I’m not only singing for mothers. Everybody needs somebody he or she can count on, and who will always be there.
