Thirty – seven countries are competing with the aim to lift the trophy in Copenhagen. The next country to be introduced is Lithuania. Singing for Lithuania this year is Vilija Matačiūnaitė.

Vilija was born in 1986 and has been performing professionally since 2004. Her first big break was when she appeared as a contestant in the Latvian show Amber Star where she finished as the runner up. This result was then repeat again the following year, but this time on the Lithuanian show The Way To The Stars. After 2 years competing in talent competitions Vilija then when on to release her first album in 2006 as well as becoming a radio host. Following on from 2006, Vilija continued to compete in singing competitions over the next few years, always achieving a top 3 result. In 2011 she graduated in Jazz at the Vilnius College in Lithuania.
