The Netherlands: acoustic version of the Dutch entry available

Tonight, the Netherlands gave a first taste of what their eurovision song for 2014 will sound like. The Common Linnets, a band that consists of Ilse Delange and Waylon, performed an acoustic version of their track Calm after the storm, which they have chosen to sing at the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen.

The Common Linnets performed their track live for the first time in a daily tal kshow, called De Wereld Draait Door. They will not yet perform the official version of the track that they will sing in May, but premiered an acoustic version. In an interview, Ilse DeLange and Waylon will talk about the song Calm after the storm and their participation in the Eurovision Song Contest. De Wereld Draait Door is one of the most popular daily Dutch talk shows. The show pays attention to a broad range of topics, like politics, art, sports, media and music.


The official version of Calm after the storm by The Common Linnets will be premiered on Dutch radio on Thursday 13 March. The song will be available to buy on iTunes on 14 March.
