The dates and times

The final will take place on Saturday 8th March 2014 at 20:00 CET.

The format

The 2014 Danish national final will be held on 8 March at the Fyn Arena in Odense where a total of 10 acts will battle for the golden ticket to Copenhagen. The winner will be selected following a combination of SMS and Jury voting.

DR held a special press conference on the 17th February in order to officially present the 10 Danish hopefuls to the press and revealed 30 second snippets of the 10 competing entries at DMGP 2014.

Denmark in the Eurovision Song Contest

Denmark debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1957 and has won the competition in 1963 with Grethe & Jorgen Ingmann , in 2000 with Olsen Brothers and in 2013 with Emmelie De Forest. On all three occasions Denmark has hosted the Eurovision in the captial Copenhagen.
