Since the OGAE Denmark was founded in 1989 up to 2011, the number of members was at an average of 200. However since the past two Scandinavian wins over the past two years, the number of members drastically started to rise and is now at a record high.
According to dr.dk, the number of members has over quadrupled in size since 2011 with over a total of 900 members, making OGAE Denmark one of the world’s largest Eurovison fan club. The chairman of the OGAE Denmark Johann Sørensen has stated that; More exciting offers within the fan club has helped to increase the influx of new members, and then we of course can also not forget the Danish victory in 2013!
Talking about the exciting offers within the fan club, Johann Sørensen revealed that; We offer ticket packages, this is something that can only be sold through us. As well as a number of the other OGAE fan clubs, the OGAE Denmark also hosts an annual meeting which includes a party and a meet & greet session with some of the former participants from the Danish selections.
