Andrej Babic, the Croatian composer of Vie nisam tvoja ( Croatia 2003) and Call me (Bosnia & Herzegovina 2005) enters the Eurovision Song Contest race once more. This year he returns to EMA with the song Cvet z juga ( Flower of the South), which has been co written with Aleksandar Sasa Valencica. It will be performed by opera singer Alenka Gotar.

Andrej participated in EMA 2006 as well, with the song Mandolina sung by Sasa Lendero which went on to win her both the esctoday.com 'Best female national final performance' award and theOGAE second chance contest.

Although he and Sasa won the televote by a landslide he didn't receive any points from the jury, who finally sent Anej Dean and Mr Nobody to Athens. This year, though, there will be no jury involved at all, and the result will be decided by the public through televoting and sms voting.

Thanks to Johnny Logan and Hold me now I fell in love with the Eurovision Song Contest, a love that's been going strong ever since with undiminished passion. My first memories date back to 1977 and the lyrics of Rock bottom, Dschinghis Khan and A ba ni bi are still engraved in my brain.

I joined esctoday.com in 2006 as a junior editor after being invited by Barry Viniker, I soon became Senior Editor and during the 2007 contest in Helsinki I was appointed Head of Communications. Today I hold the post of Head of Human Resources and I am proud to be working with the best editorial team in the world.
