The 2006 Zamu Music Awards

A lot of familiar faces to the Eurovision Song Contest fans can be found at this year�s Zamu Music Awards line up. Kate Ryan (Belgium 2006) has been nominated in the Most Popular Music category, Clouseau ( Belgium 1991) Best Live Act category, Bart Peeters, (Eurosong host) in the Best Album and Best Live Act categories, Kaye Styles (Eurosong 2006) in the Focus category and finally a fair number of Eurovision related songs in the Best Song category.

Each year, for the past 12 years, the Flemish Association of Singers and Musicians honoured the most outstanding Flemish as well as international music artists. This year, the Zamu Awards have been taken over by the Flanders Music Center and the awarding ceremony will take place on February 13th. The nominees in all categories are decided by an expert jury comprising of music journalists. The winners are voted by representatives of the Flemish music industry, that is except for Best Song and Best act awards which are voted by the public. You can vote for your favorite here until January 21st.
