Ukrainian Eurovision winner Ruslana will appear as a judge on Belgium’s Eurosong 2014 this coming February and March.

The singer announced her participation in the contest on her facebook page. Very happy to join the Belgian Eurovision team, she wrote. Looking forward to it.

Ruslana, who next year will celebrate a decade since winning the Eurovision Song Contest in Istanbul, will be join Belgian singer Piet Goddaer and DJ Jef Martens on the judging panel. Martens is perhaps best known for his production of last year’s will.i.am and Britney Spears collaboration, Scream and shout.

Each judge will have a say in which contestants progress through the semifinals of Eurosong 2014. The winner of the competition, who will go on to represent Belgium at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014, will be selected by combined televote and European jury. The final will air on 16 March.

After winning in 2004, Ruslana’s album Wild dances was certified gold after topping Belgium’s charts. She returned to Belgium earlier this year, where she performed at Antwerp’s Gay Pride event, having recently released her third English-lanuage album, My boo (together!).
