Sofia Mestari, the 2000 French Eurovision entrant in Stockholm, is back under the spotlights with a very honorable music project in Morocco, her country of origin. The young singer is indeed part of the adventure Atfal El Jibal directed by Angel Records which aims at raising funds for more than 2,000 households of the Moroccan mountains with El Baraka Angels association.

Sofia Mestari co-directed and composed the song Atfal El Jibal which gathers 16 well-known Moroccan singers. The track stands as a strong anthem for solidarity with the children living in extremely difficult conditions in the mountains of the kingdom. The song is a fusion of different music styles performed in several languages including Arabic, French, Darija, Amazigh and Hassani.

Since its creation earlier this year, the association El Baraka Angels has contributed a lot to a better living for the isolated populations of the Moroccan mountains with the distribution of food, clothes and blankets and the running of several health campaigns.
