Dutch broadcaster NOS received 174 songs for three participants of the Nationaal Songfestival 2006. 45 of them were submitted for Treble, 82 for Maud and 47 for Behave.

Dutch song writers and composers were asked to submit songs for Idols runner-up Maud, percussion girl group Treble and pop-rock band Behave, the three internally selected participants for this year's Dutch selection. Each participant will sing three songs during the national final on 12th March. Two of them from their own collection of songs, one from the public entries, of which the deadline closed today.

The song titles will be announced on 15th February.
