Last weekend, this year’s Belarusian representative, Alyona Lanskaya, continued her promotional tour by visiting Belgium.

Alyona arrived in Brussels on last Sunday morning, and headed straight to the Grand Palace, where she met the Belgian contestant, Roberto Bellarosa, and the Romanian contestant, Cezar, who was also on a promotional tour.  There, the three singers gave interviews and posed for photographs, all appearing to get on very well with one another.

Later, Alyona performed her entry to this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, Solayoh, at an open-air concert.  After her performance, many Belgian fans asked for her autograph, or for a photograph with her.

I’m very happy to promote Solayoh in Brussels, the capital of Europe, especially because the composer of my song is Belgian! This is a very important step in my promotion of ‘Solayoh’, for me and for Belarus to show the best of my country! Now I will work very hard in the coming days with my team in Minsk, and finalise the last details before heading to Sweden, says an enthusiastic Alyona.

In the evening, Alyona was a guest at the club “Le You”, where she performed Solayoh once again.  She then headed back to Minsk with her team for her last vocal rehearsals.  Her vocal coach is Alexey Panayi, who represented Cyprus in the 1995 Eurovision Song Contest.

Alyona Lanskaya will compete for Belarus in the eleventh spot in the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2013, on Tuesday 14 May.
