Russia: Dima Bilan wins Nickelodeon Award

Dima Bilan the 2008 Russian Eurovision winner has yet again added another award to the long list of trophies and awards he’s garnered throughout his musical career.

Last  February Dima  Bilan was nominated for the Russian Act Award at Nickelodeon’s  Kids’ Choice Awards. The voting concluded on March 25. Hence Dima won and received the award at the ceremony, thus becoming the  first Russian artist  to win the award , the  orange blimp Kids Choice Award!

Dima has represented Russia twice at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2006 with Never let you go (2nd) and in 2008 with Believe(1st), he attempted to come back to the contest in 2012 when he competed at the Russian 2012 Eurovision national final in duet with Yulia Volkova (Ex tAtU- Russia 2003) with the song Back to her future. The duo were beaten by none other than the Russian golden girls Buranovkiye Babushki!

Dima Bilan is among Russia’s most sought after artists and enjoys great fame and recognition in Russia and in its neighbouring countries: Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Estonia, Latvia etc.
