Amsterdam Pepsi Stage no longer Songfestival venue

The Pepsi Stage in Amsterdam will no longer host the Dutch Eurovision Song Contest selections. Last month Dutch broadcaster NOS announced to leave the location for the Ducth selections in 2006. AVRO, responsible for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest selections, today announced to move to the Central Studios in Utrecht.

The last couple of years, the Pepsi Stage in Amsterdam has been the venue for the Dutch Nationaal Songfestival and the finals of its junior variant. The cooperation however ends as both the Dutch Eurovision Song Contest and Junior Eurovision Song Contest selections will be moving to other locations.

Dutch broadcaster AVRO, responsible for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest selections will be moving to Utrecht. On 10th, 17th and 24th September the Junior Nationaal Songfestival '05 semifinals and final will be broadcast live from the Utrecht Central Studios.

NOS, the organiser of the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest selections in the Netherlands, earlier announced to leave the Pepsi Stage in Amsterdam. The new location and concept of the Dutch national selections have not been revealed yet.
