The official website of the 50th Eurovision Song Contest, eurovision.tv, boasts rising numbers for this year's event proving to be one of the world's most popular entertainment websites. The EBU said that in a press release.

After the phenomenal success of eurovision.tv in 2004, the site broke its own records with the coverage of the 2005 contest. Since the launch of the 2005 version of eurovision.tv in February, publishing new content and design (based on the concept of the TV production for the 2005 contest), the site has provided a wide range of features and continuous information leading up to and all the way through the event.

German based ISP T-Online provided the streaming services of eurovision.tv delivering 3,8 million on-demand video and audio clips of all songs, showing an 85% increase over 2004, and live broadband streaming of the semifinal and final broadcasts.

Over 75 million page views have been registered so far, representing an increase of 35% over the figures recorded for 2004.

Eurovision.tv was produced for the EBU by the management- and technology service provider Pixelpark AG (Germany) and its technical partner Akamai.
