Earlier yesterday RTE,the Irish national broadcaster, premiered the five competing songs at the forthcoming 2013 Irish Eurovision national final Eurosong 2013, during the Mooney show on RTÉ Radio 1.

Following the same formula used in previews years, RTÉ will choose their entrant to the Eurovision Song Contest on a special show to be aired on 22 February on RTE 1. The five mentors appointed by the Irish broadcaster already announced their acts yesterday.

Kasey – Kiss me there

Inchequin – Son kez / The last time (folky, Turkish flavored, song sung in English with some lines in Turkish language)

Aimée Fitzpatrick – Crashing down (a very simple piano ballad and strings after the middle of the song)

Zoe Alexis Bohorquez – Fire (pop/dance song with a catchy rhythm and current vibe)

Ryan Dolan – Only love survives (a dance club anthem)

The Irish representative will be chosen by a combination of televoting and a jury (50/50) on 22 February at the Eurosong 2013 on The Late Late Show.
