The lyrics of the Ukrainian 2005 Eurovision Song Contest entry have to change upon the European Broadcasting Union's request. Svante Stockselius, supervisor of the contest, confirmed that to our colleagues of Eurovision Spain.

According to a statement from Svante Stockselius to Eurovision Spain, the group Greenjolly decided to change the lyrics of their Eurovision Song Contest entry to avoid disqualification.

“According to the rules of the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 no political lyrics can be accepted. After a question from the EBU the Ukrainian group GreenJolly now decided to change the lyrics of their song”, the supervisor said.
