National Final in Serbia in March

RTS, the Serbian national broadcaster has informed Esctoday.com that Serbia will have a national selection to select its 2013 Eurovision entry and representative.  The 2013 Serbian national final will be in March, the dates are yet to be confirmed. RTS will reveal the rules and regulations for the 2013 Serbian national selection in due course.

RTS has revealed to Esctoday.com that they will be opting for a transparent competition, hence the broadcaster will open a call for artists and composers to send in their applications. Those interested in participating can send in their applications from December 1. The Serbian national selection will consist of 2 days, hence 2 shows are scheduled to be held in March. The 15 best  performers/ songs will be selected before final in order to compete in the first show. Thus the top 5 will battle each another in their quest to represent Serbia at the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest in the 2nd show.
 
 
 Serbia debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest  in 2007 when Marija Serifovic triumphed with Molitva in Helsinki. Stay tuned to Esctoday.com for the latest news on Serbia and its 2013 Eurovision participation.
