No return: Poland will not be in Malmö

TVP, the Polish national broadcaster has informed and confirmed to that Poland will not compete at the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö next May.

TVP  told “After a very careful analysis we made the difficult decision not to take part in Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö”.  This is the 2nd year in a row we will not see a Polish entry at the Eurovision Song Contest, they opted not participate at the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest in Baku last May.

Poland debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994 with Edyta Gorniak‘s To nie ja, placing 2nd (Poland’s best result at the Eurovision Song Contest).

    Disappointing to hear this! Poland have sent some very good songs to Eurovision in the noughties… but some not so good as well. It’s a shame they’re not interested in participation.

    So its clear that last year Polish reason to withdraw ( UEFA European Championship ) was a HUGE false.

    I really hope they won’t lose interest and will return in 2014….

      Unfortunately they will not return as they have announced they will not be showing the final and semi finals which if the rule is the same means they cannot participate the next year
