RTBF, the Belgian French speaking national broadcaster has informed and confirmed to Esctoday.com that Roberto Bellarosa will represent Belgium at the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest. More details and information regarding the 2013 Belgian Song Selection will be disclosed shortly.
The 2013 Eurovision Belgian entry will be selected in a televised show on RTBF via a public voting deliberation. The broadcaster will be releasing more information in due course.
Roberto Bellarosa won the first season of The Voice Belgique. He comes from a family of footballers and has been studying music since the age of 9 at the Huy Conservatory. He entered the first season of the Belgian French version of the talent show The Voice at 17 years old, and won after 16 weeks with 57% of the public votes in the final. Roberto has released his first album recently.
Belgium debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1956 and was one of the founder members of the contest, having won the event in 1986 with Sandra Kim’s J’aime la vie.
