The 50th anniversary show Extravaganza will take place at the Forum in Copenhagen on 22nd October 2005. During a nostalgic show, organized by Danish broadcaster DR, 14 songs will compete for the title of best Eurovision Song Contest song of all time.

As from January a special website will be launched, including a poll to select the 10 best Eurovision Song Contest entries ever. On the list you will be able to vote all winners and all songs that have become world hits although they didn't win the contest (Nel blu dipinto di blu, Congratulations,…). The 10 songs which received the most votes will proceed to the Extravaganza show, together with 4 other songs selected by a professional jury.

In the Eurovision Song Contest Extravaganza, a three-hour-lasting show that takes place on 22nd October in Copenhagen, the best Eurovision Song Contest song of all time will be selected by televote. In case that the original performer of the song isn't alive anymore, a famous artist will perform the song instead.
