Today, Walloon broadcaster RTBF will present the 10 finalists of EuroKids 2004 to the Belgian press. In EuroKids 2004 the Belgian representative for the 2004 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Lillehammer will be selected.

Walloon broadcaster RTBF received more than 260 songs for EuroKids 2004. These are the 10 selected kids who will compete in two semi finals and one final to succeed last year's Belgian represenatives Xink:

Alex – Ecoute-moi (Listen to me)
 B-Cocktail – L'âge d'aimer (The age of loving)
Bess – Laissez-les vivre (Let them live)
Free Spirits – Accroche-toi (Hold on)
Hotvibes – Ma vraie identité (My real identity)
Julie – Ma chance (My chance)
 Kevin – J'ai envie (I feel like…)
Manon – Mais la vie (But life)
 Mary-Lo – Laissez-moi rêver (Let me dream)
Methiola – Samuser (To have fun)

The list contains solo performers, duets as well as a trio and represents music styles from ballads over pop to rock. All participants are aged between 10 and 15 years and sing in French, the only out of three official Belgian languages RTBF allowed.

With B-Cocktail, there is a real Belgian duo in the running. The duo consists of Walloon Ysatis Dussenwart and Flemish Charlotte Campion. The last named was also selected for Eurosong for Kids, organised last year by Flemish broadcaster VRT.

The EuroKids 2004 participants will perform a first time at Le Beau Vélo de Ravel, a family event taking place Saturday 26th June in Visé (Wallonia), and will be broadcast live on radio channel VivaCité between 16.00 and 17.00 CET.
