Delays plague UK rehearsal

The timetable for rehearsals and press conferences this week has constantly fallen behind, and last night James Fox, who sings Hold on to our love for the United Kingdom, suffered more delays than most.

As the first rehearsal in the evening following the dinner break, the United Kingdom was the first of the four evening rehearsals who also had to cancel their press conference in order that they could make an appearance at the official reception held by the Minister of Culture & Tourism on the other side of Istanbul. However a full press conference is scheduled for today.

James Fox should have concluded his rehearsal by 19.10 local time, but in fact stepped off the stage almost an hour later!

At one point, James and his four backing singers had to leave the stage because of all the constant technical delays. They returned later after many apologies from the floor manager, to complete three full camera rehearsals.

James Fox was later seen at the official reception despite the hold ups to the rehearsal.

As one of the big four countries the United Kingdom participates directly in the final on 15th May.
