Swiss-born singer Patrick Nuo will compete in this year's German national final, announced broadcaster Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR) today. His song will be Undone.

With this nomination, all eight German competitors in the national preselection, who were supplied by record companies and approved by music channel Viva, are finally known. Up to four “wildcards” may be added at the last moment. The current list reads as follows:

Laith Al-Deen: Höher (Higher)
Mia: Hungriges Herz (Hungry Heart)
Patrick Nuo: Undone
Overground: Der letzte Stern (The last Star)
Scooter: Jigga Jigga
Sabrina Setlur: Liebe (Love)
Westbam: Dancing with the Rebels
Wonderwall: Silent Tears

Music channel Viva is going to put the videoclips of all eight songs on rotation and is also airing features (EuroClash) of all eight artists, now including Patrick Nuo. A week before the contest, NDR will hand out up to four additional “wildcards” to artists who are currently hitting German singles sales charts. One wildcard is expected to be given to the presumed winner of former German participant Stefan Raab's casting show SSDSGPS.

The German representative for Istanbul will be voted for by the public. The national final Germany 12 Points! will set off on 19th March in Berlin and be aired on ARD from 20:15 CET.
