In a press release, music company Sony Music today revealed that the Berlin-based electropunk band Mia will take part in the national final 2004 Germany, 12 Points!. With this release, now seven out of the up to 12 artists who are going to perform in the Arena Berlin-Treptow on March 19 are known.

The revamped German national final 2004 will see eight well-known, established pop artists selected through private music station Viva, which will show clips of these entries and features of the participants, beginning January 12. Another four contenders are going to be named shortly before the final, selected from the recent sales charts.

Another widely rumoured artist is Jeanette (Biedermann), who competed in the 1999 national final. Apart from Laith Al-Deen's entry, no other songs are known at the moment.
