The vocalist of Ruffus, the band which represented Estonia at the last Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) in Riga, Vaiko Eplik, got punched in his face last Saturday. So far the reason for it is unknown.

It happened in a bar around midnight, when Eplik and the manager of the tour People's Eurovision, Lauri Laubre, were sitting at their table when a drunk man came to them and soon punched Vaiko in his face. Eplik stayed calm but the manager got very upset and called the police. The drunken man had left the bar by that time, but he returned later.

After the event the singer went to the police station and wrote an application of crime. The man is being accused of 'serious disturbance of peace'. So far the reasons of attacking remain secret, though it's suspected it had something to do with Ruffus' performance in Riga.

The vocalist asked SL Õhtuleht not to write about the incident, since he had learned from the man who had punched him that the puncher had got the idea from a newspaper.

The employed bodyguards of Eplik's were not present at that time in the bar.

So far the audience at the previously mentioned tour has liked Ruffus very much, there have not been any similar incidents before.
