Israeli delegation encouraged by stage performance

Although Israeli entarnt to Riga, Lior Narkis, gained only 17 points in Saturday's Eurovision Song Contest, the delegation surrounding him, and in fact the Israeli media praised him and his stage crew for an excellent performance in the contest.

Yediot Ahronot (Israeli major newspaper), who criticized Lior Narkis and his song, Words for love, throughout the whole build up to the contest, including the week in Riga, praised his performace in the Skonto Hall. The same attitude was given to Narkis by other media.

People at home will welcome me with a hug, said Lior Narkis, and that was indeed the truth: tens of Narkis' fans and relatives waited for him and the rest of the big delegation in Tel-Aviv's airport, carrying baloons and signs saying “You are still number one for us!”. “I belive whoever watched our perfomance will appreciate our efforts. I had a magical week and a tremendous experience-both personal and professional. It was all worth it, just to take part in such a huge project, said Narkis, who seemed to look quite encouraged on the way home and really excited of his experience in the contest.
