Rehearsals have begun in the host city of Lisbon, in which artists from countries across the first semi-final of the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest are taking to the Eurovision stage for the very first time. It’s time for some popera with the penultimate rehearsal of the day, this time from Elina Nechayeva from Estonia.

It’s day one of rehearsals at the Altice Arena in Lisbon, where a total of 10 artists will be taking to the stage today for their first rehearsal on the official Eurovision stage. We now know how the stage looks, now let’s find out how it works!

Estonia’s Elina Nechayeva is the ninth and penultimate artist onstage today for her first rehearsal, preparing for her semi-final 1 performance in the coming days.

We can see some very subtle changes from Elina’s original Eesti Laul winning performance. Some small changes to the lighting can be seen, with plenty of additional images appearing over Elina’s dress such as rose petals.

All of Elina’s voice training in the lead up to the competition has truly paid off, with a stunning vocal performance being heard across the arena and receiving high praise from the press centre members.

Elina will provide a stand out performance for Estonia on the night of the semi-final, with the final spot truly in her sights. Can she take it all the way?
