Following the filming of the SpanishEurovision postcard in the Azores, TVE, the Spanish national broadcaster has released further details on Alfred & Amaia’s trip to the island of São Miguel.
The 2018 Spanish Eurovision hopefuls are enchanted and mesmerised with Portugal’s scenic landscapes and beauty.
The Spanish duo Amaia and Alfred recorded their postcard in the island of São Miguel and had an amazing experience cooking the traditional Cozido das Furnas. The Spanish Eurovision 2018 representatives also toured some of the most emblematic places of the island, and were accompanied by a team of RTVE.
Alfred was enchanted with the Azores:
It’s like we’re entering a whole new world. We have discovered many things about the culture of the Azores and we are enchanted with its picturesque landscapes and nature. It can be cloudy in one place and two kilometers away it can be sunny. That’s amazing!
I really liked the Azores, it’s like being on another planet. I have not traveled much and I’m not used to seeing places like this. It’s fantastic!
The Spanish duo have become a sensation in Spain since they were selected to fly the Spanish flag at the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon.
The Spanish Eurovision 2018 postcard was filmed in three different locations on the island of Sao Miguel; Lagoa de Furnas, Pico de Ferro and Terranostra Nature Park.
