Yesterday night the Irish, German, Polish, Slovenian, Israeli, Norwegian and Estonian parties took place.

The Israeli delegation had it's reception last night, which celebrated the country's 30th year in the Eurovision Song Contest. The event took place in one of Riga's jewish cultural center. The place was decorated with blue and white baloons and the small stage of the hall had a huge star of David on it, made by miniature baloons. The catering for the evening included sweets and wines contributed by Israeli brands and also the famous Israeli Pita bread, along with Israeli salads. The guests were welcomed by Israel's ambassador in Riga. A special guest of the evening was Germany's ambassador, who was welcomed by Lior Narkis himself.

Lior Narkis performed his song for the contest, Words for love, and a few others. A guest star of the evening was Malta's Lynn Chircop who also performed her Eurovision song, To dream again.

After the official welcome was over, Eurovision music was played by the Euroclub's DJ, Israeli Chezy Shayer, which made the guests stay a couple more hours and dance to the Eurovision music.

Poland and Germany organised a joint party in their embassies and just like the Israeli party was supported by the embassy of a corresponding country.

Estonian Ruffus had their presentation yesterday at club Kalku Varti. It didn't seem to attract many Latvain people and Eurovision journalist and the overall athosphere was very un-Eurovision. Ruffus performed most of its hits from last five years and after an hour and a couple of beers the audience consisting mainly of Estonian went forward to other parties.

The Voodoo Club held the Slovenian party where it was possible for many people to dance until late to the sounds of many Eurovision songs.

The big party to take place tonight is the Mediterranean party given by the Spanish, Maltese, Cypriot and Greek delegations. Also the Dutch party will take place.
