Only a matter of days before the Albanian national selection for Eurovision kicks off, and this year RTSH is going big!
The first semi-final is on Thursday 21 December, the second semi-final is on Friday 22 December and the final will be held on Saturday 23 December.
With this in mind, the Albanian broadcaster revealed some of the interval acts that will perform at the selection!
Familiar FiK names will perform
Former Festivali i Këngës participant Flaka Krelani will perform at the national selection; she tried to represent Albania in at Eurovision 4 times in total, coming second behind Olta Boka back in 2008 and placing in the top 5 in 2008 and 2009.
Alban Skënderaj is also set to perform. He is very known in Albania and has already tried himself to represent Albania in 2011 in Düsseldorf with his fiancé.
These artists will join the Italian artist Riccardo Cocciante, who was confirmed as the first guest of the show earlier last week.
Former Eurovision participants set to appear
This year, FiK will feature many past participants for Albania at the Eurovision Song Contest. Here are the performers set to appear on stage this week:
- Kejsi Tola (Eurovision Song Contest 2009)
- Aurela Gaçe (Eurovision Song Contest 2011)
- Elhaida Dani (Eurovision Song Contest 2015)
It is yet unknown during what shows they will perform on stage, with further details expected in due course.
Festivali i Këngës 56
Starting Thursday, 22 songs will compete for the right to represent Albania in the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon next May. Who will win and go to Lisbon?
The FiK 56 semi-final allocation and running order were revealed earlier today, out of which 8 songs are expected to qualify from each semi-final to the final.
