LIVE
The show has just started with pictures of Opatija and an old song about the town.
2010 representative Igor Cukrov now performs his entry Lijepa Tena.
The two male presenters Mirko Fodor and Dusko Curlic are now on stage and they are followed by their female collegues in the green room: Ida Prester and Iva Sulencic.
The jury is introduced now.
1. Swing Mamas – Trio tulipan
Current esctoday.com poll result: =15th (0%)
This song was written 64 years ago but never recorded. Three middle aged women in bright coloured dresses are on stage along with an man on a black piano. The song is jazzy and perhaps not catchy enough for Eurovision. There are female dancers in top hats and tailsall in black.
2. Sabrina – Golu si me skinuo
Current esctoday.com poll result: =8th (2.0%)
Sabrina is a dark haired woman in a short black evening dress. The vocals are strong and the chorus is catchy enough. There are three female backing singers.
3. Viva – Zadnja kap života
Current esctoday.com poll result: =15th (0%)
The male singer is joined by a female backing drummer and a guitarist. He is wearing a casual shirt, jeans and a scarf.
4. Marta Kuliš – Preporodjena
Current esctoday.com poll result: 12th (1.3%)
The performs are all wearing short, black dresses. This might not be among the top favourites tonight considering that the vocal performance is just average and that the obviously not catchy enough.
In the green room now, chatting with the singers.
5. Tihomir Kožina – Za koga si se Äuvala
Current esctoday.com poll result: =8th (2.0%)
The male lead singer is dressed all in black but waers a white T-shirt. He is supported by four scantily clad female dancers and a middle aged male backing singer. The song is strong and catchy.
6. Carla Belovari – Sada osjeÄam to
Current esctoday.com poll result: =13th (0.7%)
The female singer is sitting at the piano and she is dressed in silver with blonde hair. Thre female backing singer in black are supporting her. The song is in a jazzy style and probably not catchy enough to win tonight.
7. Klapa Iskon – Vrime za kraj
Current esctoday.com poll result: =6th (2.7%)
The song is performed in a Dalmatian dialectand stlye. The group consists of six middle aged men in black (five of them are rather tall and one of them is rather short) and they deliver a strong vocal performance. If the audience wants ethno, they will probably go for this one. The applause is great and the loudest so far.
8. AliBi – Prvi pogled
Current esctoday.com poll result: =4th (4.0%)
AliBi perform a rap song. Two male and one female singer are on stage and they are joined by two female and one male dancer.
We are back in the green room. The presenters are chatting to the singers.
9. Äani StipaniÄev – Nek nam bude lijepo
Current esctoday.com poll result: =8th (2.0%)
The vocals are excellent and almost operatic. The song and its chorus are very strong. The singer is wearing an evening suit and he is joined on stage by male and female dancers performing ballroom dances. There are also three female backing singers. The appalause is very loud.
10. Doris Teur – Ti me ne zaslužuješ
Current esctoday.com poll result: =4th (4.0%)
The semi final winner is wearing a tight trouser suit. She is joined by three female backing singers and the vocals are slightly off-key.
11. Valungari – Vol or ne vol
Current esctoday.com poll result: =6th (2.7%)
A very funny song now. The portly male lead singer is playing the guitar. All men are wearing skirts and there is a large woman shouting in the background. The silly lyrics don't make any sense, but the audience seems to love it and their reaction is strong.
12. Franka BateliÄ – Na tvojim rukama
Current esctoday.com poll result: 2nd (22.1%)
Franka Bateli is the 2008 OGAE song contest winner. The very young singer comes in on a silver ball like a hamster's and she is wearing a gold top just like the dancers'. The three backing singers hold up silver balls, too.The voice is good, but the song seems not to be strong enough.
13. Žiga i Bandisti – Blagdani
Current esctoday.com poll result: =8th (2.0%)
This song is a strong ballad. The older male singer is dressed in black and the three female backing ingers are wearing long red evening dresses. There are two male backing musicians as well. The song gets catchier towards the end and it is among the stronger entries tonight.
14. Giuliano DjaniÄ – Moja draga
Current esctoday.com poll resul: =14th (0.7%)
Giuliano and his backing singers are dressed in black. His song is average. Three female backing singers are now joining them on stage, and they are dressed in black as well.
15. Franko Krajcar – Jobrni je jobrni
Current esctoday.com poll result: 3rd (11.4%)
All performers are playing a musical instrument (accordion, drums, guitar, wind instruments) and they are wearing folkish costumes. The dance routine is folkish as well. The song itself contains hardly any lyrics.
16. Feminnem – Lako je sve
Current esctoday.com poll result: 1st (42.3%)
The 2005 representatives of Bosnia & Herzegovina are wearing long chiffon dresses. Once they get off their seats, the also get off key. The song is quite catchy but it probably demands stronger vocalists. The group is supported by two female dancers dressed in black.
The voting has started and recap of the 16 performances is being shown.
Toni Cetinsk, Croatian representative in 1994, opens the interval act sequence.
Our poll is closed for voting now. You can find the updated results above.
The results are coming in.
Femminem have won the jury voting ahead of Franko Krajcar.
Femminem have also won the televoting and will represent Croatia in Oslo.
