Tonight: National final in Spain

Tonight, the Spanish national final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 will be held. Ten acts are going to compete in Eurovision 2010: Destino Oslo and the winner will become the 50th representative of Spain in the competition.

The show

The show to be broadcast on TVE 1 will start at 22:15 CET and it will be hosted by Anne Igartiburu and Ainhoa Arbizu. Ten acts will present one song each and the winner will be chosen by televoting (50%) and a jury (50%), which consists of Manuel Bandera, José María Íñigo, Toni Garrido, Mariola Orellanaand Pilar Tabare. Among the artists to perform the interval acts will be Rosa (Spanish representative in 2002), David Bustamente (national final contestant and backing singer for Spain in 2002) as well as Sergio Dalma (Spanish representative 1991). There will also be a performance by the cast of the musical Chicago.

In 2009, Spain was represented by Soraya who finished 24th and hence second last in the final with her song La noche es para mí. As a big four country, Spain is directly qualified for the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 on 29th May.
