In a special Scandipop live event, this year's Swedish Eurovision Song Contest representant Malena Ernman will be performing her first ever UK pop concert on October 11th. A schlager diva and one of Sweden's most sought after opera performers, Malena has previously only appeared at opera concerts in the UK. Indeed, she will performing at the Royal Opera House in London the night before this Scandipop event.

Malena will be performing tracks from her new double CD album La voix du nord, including her Eurovision Song Contest entry La voix. The first CD of the album contains tracks in the same pop style as La voix with collaborations with Fredrik Kempe, Anders Hansson, and Alexander Bard. The second CD album contains tracks in her more traditional operatic style.

This is the fourth Scandipop event to be held live in London, following last week's hugely successful BWO concert. Scandipop organizer Karl Batterbee is working hard to bring other successful Swedish acts to the UK over the next few months. This special event will take place at 19:00 GMT at the Escape Bar, Brewer Street in Central London, with admission on the door for £6.00. As no advanced tickets are available for sale, fans are therefore advised to get to the venue as early as possible as organisers are expecting the event to sell out.
