The 2017 Armenian Eurovision representative has released her Eurovision entry Fly with me, alongs with its official videoclip today.

Artsvik won the 2017 Armenian Eurovision national selection Depi Evratesil last December 2017 and will represent Armenia at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv.

Fly with me was composed by Lilith and Levon Navasardyan, who are known to Eurovision fans for Aram MP3’s Not alone, Mika’s Love and Iveta Mukuchyan’s LoveWave. Lyrics were written by Avet Barseghyan and David Tserunyan.

Both the music and lyrics were inspired by this year’s slogan Celebrate Diversity. Featuring folkand traditional rhythms and elements not only from Armenia, but also from Europe, Africa and even Asia, Fly with me comes to showcase the beauty of diversity and proves that our stories and voices are the vivid colors of this world.

Artsvik says:

My song tells a story of a girl, who is the metaphorical symbol of love. She embodies the colors, the stories and the voices that make us who we are.

Fly with me encourages everyone to come with me on this girl’s journey of championing the diverse and beautiful human nature. I think nowadays it is especially important to embrace our heritage and our traditions.

We, the people – our colors, our stories and our voices make up this world. We must neverforget that this girl’s light and love is one for all of us.

About the videoclip

The melody line is based on the peculiarities and similarities of various ethnic music styles worldwide,  promoting this year’s ESC slogan Celebrate Diversity. The song focuses on the life story of a girl, who embodies the innermost feeling – love, which combines the many colors of life and collects world fairytales and stories that tell us who we are. Combining diversities from around the world the girl flies high in the skies and becomes the sun – common source of love and light to all of us, yet the only one for each of us.

The music video preserves melody line of the song and has stylistically attempted to present various ethnic peculiarities. Thanks to the unique performance and light effects based on the lyrics, the videoclip reflects the sun rays that shine and provide equal warmth to all of us.

The official videoclip of Fly with me was directed by Arthur Manukyan, whilst Mkrtich Malkhasyan was the man behind the camerawork  and Aram Nikolyan was resposible for the styling.
