Slovakia: Search for 2010 Eurovision entry begins

STV, the Slovakian broadcaster, have announced the rules of the country's 2010 preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Oslo. Interested parties can now submit songs until 30th October.

After an eleven year absence, Slovakia returned to the Eurovision Song Contest in 2009 and organised one of the longest preselections of the year. As soon as the contest was over, Slovakia confirmed their participation for 2010 and now the call for songs has been offcially launched.

All authors and singers must have Slovakian nationality and the main language of the songs submitted must be Slovakian but an exception might be made for the chorus which could be in English. More than one songs can be submitted by interested authors but only one can be performed by each artist.The final choice of the song which will represent the coutry in Oslo will once more be up to the local public but the details of the selection have not been revealed yet. The deadline for the submission of the songs is 30th October 2009.Special thanks to Miloš Hozda for the news.
