The first show of Eurovizija 2017 is complete in which 6 acts have qualified to the second stage of the Lithuanian national selection.

This evening saw a total of 12 acts perform their entries live to both the public and jury for the very first time, in a bid to earn their votes and qualify to the next stage of the selection in the coming weeks.

Following each performance in tonight’s show, the specialist Lithuanian jury consisting of opera singer Sigutė Stonytė, music reviewer Ramūnas Zilnys, musicologist Darius Užkuraitis and singer Neda Malūnavičiūtė offered their thoughts and critique to each act, whilst the public voted for their favourite act throughout the show.

Paula was a clear favourite amongst the public vote this evening, receiving over 300 more votes than the second-placed act Edgaras Lubys, however the jury disagreed with the public by giving Lubys the highest amount of points, giving Paula only 5 points.

5. Otreya – Last two weeks (Jury: 6 points / Public: 6 points)
6. Benas Malakauskas – Rolling (Jury: 8 points / Public: 4 points)

That means tonight, we say goodbye to Augustė Vedrickaitė, Tadas Rimgaila & Samanta Tina, Rūta Andruškevičiūtė, Audrius Petrauskas, Justin3 and Dagna.

Over the next month, each of the 51 participants will compete in the first 4 shows of Eurovizija 2017, with around half qualifying to the second stage of the competition.

In total, a maximum of 6 acts will compete in the Grand Final of the national selection on the 11 March, in which the winner will be determined via a 50/50 jury/public vote, also including the vote of an international jury.
