Israel: Seven acts qualify to the next stage of Rising Star 2017

The first show of Rising Star 2017, out of the planned ten, was broadcasted tonight in Israel. A total of seven acts have managed to get more than 70% of the votes and qualify to the next stage of the competition.

Each of the four judges had 10% while the rest of the votes came from the audience in the TV studios during the filming.

Tonight’s qualifiers are:

  • Diana Golbi (95%)
  • Imri Ziv (93%)
  • Beatbox Element (91%)
  • Judy Layne (81%)
  • Lee Sabach (79%)
  • Hallelujah (Halli) Lewis (77%)
  • Ta-La-Te (75%)

Diana Golbi has previously won Kochav Nolad 8 in 2010. If she will win Rising Star, she will become the sixth Israeli particpant to previously participate in Kochav Nolad, following Shiri Maimon (2005), Boaz Mauda (2008), Harel Skaat (2010), Mei Finegold (2014) and Hovi Star (2016).

Imri Ziv was a backing singer for Israel in Eurovision 2015 and 2016.

The second show of Rising Star 2017 will be broadcasted tomorrow at 21:00 local time (20:00 CET).
