The Spanish public broadcaster, RTVE, have finally decided to broadcast live the first semifinal of the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest, despite having moved Spain's voting rights to the second one. As a “public service”, the show will be webcast on RTVE's Eurovision website.

Thanks to this decision, Spanish Eurovision fans will have the chance of enjoying both semifinals live. The first semifinal will be aired on RTVE's Eurovision website. Also, TVE2 will offer a re-run of the show once the Debate on the State of the Nation concludes.

It has also been announced that Iñaki del Moral will be the Spanish spokesman the evening of the grand final. Iñaki, who replaces Ainhoa Arbizu, will be the first spokesperson to give his country's votes.
