Girlband O’G3NE, who will represent the Netherlands at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv, Ukraine, are set to choose their Eurovision entry in the coming weeks.

O’G3NE, sisters Lisa, Amy and Shelley Vol, are dedicated to find the perfect song to perform at Eurovision 2017. This week, Tuesday and Wednesday, they organized a special Eurovision Song Contest Writerscamp, at which national and international composers presented their potential songs to the trio. The girls state on Facebook that many magnificent, cool and impressive songs came forth from the camp, and they are very thankful to all the composers.

O’G3NE is also listening to songs closer to home, as one of the composers is their father, Rick Vol, who has already delivered several hit songs for his daughters. However, the girls will objectively and professionally judge the potential songs, and ultimately choose the song that is the best.

O’G3NE will choose their Eurovision entry in the coming weeks, and the song will most likely be presented to the public in February or early March 2017.

What kind of song would you like to hear and see O’G3NE perform on the Eurovision stage?

O’G3NE (simply pronounced “o-gene”, the “O” represents their mother’s bloodtype or “gene” o, while the 3 symbolizes the three sisters themselves) is the most popular contemporary girlband in the Netherlands. As Lisa, Amy & Shelley, the sisters already participated in the 2007 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with the song Adem in, adem uit (“Breath in, breath out”), placing 11th. Lisa, Amy & Shelley released two albums, delivering a string of hits aimed at the young adult market.

Diligently working on their career and skills, the girls had their mainstream breakthrough as O’G3NE when the trio won the popular TV-show The Voice Of Holland in 2014, and their acclaim has been rising since then. Their third album (and debut album as O’G3NE), released in September 2016, hit the number 1 spot in the Dutch Album Top 100. In October 2016, O’G3NE was selected by Dutch broadcaster AVROTROS to represent the Netherlands at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv, Ukraine.

The sisters are currently on tour in the Netherlands with their successful show Three Times A Lady.
