It is now the turn of the host country's OGAE jury to announce their votes in the OGAE 2009 Eurovision Song Contest poll. The Russian fans awarded the United Kingdom with their maximum points, followed by Ukraine and Turkey.

Although Norway's hot fan favourite Alexander Rybak scored better with the girl fans, members of OGAE Russia, it was mostly Ukraine's anti-crisis girl, Svetlana Loboda, and United Kingdom's hope, Jade Ewen who scored maximum points with the male fans in the club's poll.

This is the verdict of the Russian OGAE jury:

  • 12 UK
  • 10 Ukraine
  • 8 Turkey
  • 7 Spain
  • 6 France
  • 5 Greece
  • 4 Iceland
  • 3 Norway
  • 2 Azerbaijan
  • 1 Lithuania

Thanks to Johnny Logan and Hold me now I fell in love with the Eurovision Song Contest, a love that's been going strong ever since with undiminished passion. My first memories date back to 1977 and the lyrics of Rock bottom, Dschinghis Khan and A ba ni bi are still engraved in my brain.

I joined esctoday.com in 2006 as a junior editor after being invited by Barry Viniker, I soon became Senior Editor and during the 2007 contest in Helsinki I was appointed Head of Communications. Today I hold the post of Head of Human Resources and I am proud to be working with the best editorial team in the world.
