Will the ultimate Greek Goddess aka Helena Paparizou return to Eurovision next year, namely to Kyiv,the very same city that saw her give Greece its very first Eurovision victory 11 years ago?
As the rumour mill in Athens is getting hotter by the minute regarding on whom will fly the Greek flag in Kyiv next year, Greek media is speculating that the 2005 Greek Eurovision winer is vying to represent Greece at the forthcoming 2017 Eurovision Song Contest. Today during a morning show aired on private Greek channel Ant 1, well known Greek tv host/journalist Themis Georgantas spilled the beans and said that Helena Paparizou is considering to return to Eurovision next year and is currently in discussions regarding the matter.
This has set both the Greeek media and social networks into a frenzy speculating on Helena’s 3rd potential Eurovision participation. We will have to wait and see if these rumours are just rumours and mere speculation or if Helena will indeed return to Kyiv next year.

Earlier today the Greek national broadcaster ERT confirmed to ESCToday that Greeece will participate at the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv, and said the that the mechanism to select the 2017 Greek entry and act is yet to be determined. More information regarding the 2017 Greek Eurovision project will be released in due course.
Helena Paparizou won the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest with her entry My Number One. The Swedish born Greek artist has gained much name and recognition both in Sweden and Greece since her Eurovision victory.

The Greek Eurovision diva has been to Eurovision twice in 2001 as part of Antique and 2005. She tried to represent Sweden in 2014 when she competed in the Swedish national final with her entry Survivor, and achieved an honorable 4th place in Melodifestivalen.
