During a press conference held this morning, the Swedish broadcaster SVT has announced that Clara Henry, David Lindgren and Hasse Andersson will host Melodifestivalen 2017, the Swedish national selection for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest.

All three hosts have previously contributed to Melodifestivalen; Clara Henry as the host of the web programs and a sidekick in 2014, David as a participant in 2012, 2013 and 2016 (best placing 4th in 2012), and Hasse finished 4th as well in 2015, with Guld och gröna skogar.

With such a mix of hosts, SVT would like to expand the possibilities to do different kinds of entertainment during the shows, and probably to make sure that Melodifestivalen will attract everyone around Sweden – as always.

Melodifestivalen 2017 will kick off on 4 February and will end with the grand final on 11 March. Nearly 2500 entries have been submitted to the competition, and the lucky 28 participating entries will be announced later this autumn.
