After the European Broadcasting Union, EBU, announced their grandiose plans for the 50th anniversary of the Eurovision Song Contest, they now have in store a tribute to ABBA's own anniversary of their victory in the contest.

In 1974, an unknown group from Sweden, named ABBA, took the stage of the Eurovision Song Contest in Brighton, and won the contest with Waterloo. Since that night, the Swedish group never looked back and went on to dominate world pop scene, until this very day.

As a lead to the Eurovision Song Contest's 50th anniversary in 2005, the EBU will produce a two hour show in 2004, which will feature Swedish and international stars who will perform some of the group's repertoire, as well as documentry and archive footage that will tell the group's story.
