UPD Malta: The twenty Eurovision finalists

The eighth and last quarter final of the maltese preselection for the Eurovision song Contest took place tonight. Seven songs competed and after that the twenty songs to compete in the Maltese final on 7th February were announced. th

This is the lineup of the Maltese in the order the songs will be performed:

Statistically speaking, the last two quarter finals produced most finalists as four songs qualified from each, followed by the fifth and sixth with three, the first and second produced just two each and only one song qualified from the third and fourth.

Two time Maltese Eurovision Song Contest representative, Chiara will bid to make it third time lucky. Shw was 3rd in 1998 and runner-up to Helena Paparizou in 2005 with Angel. She will compete against fellow former Malta Song For Europe finalists, Claudia Faniello, J. Anvil, Klinsmann, Trilogy, Q (as separate artists), Rosman Pace and Eleanor Cassar.
