Turkey: Mor ve otesi to open for R.E.M

Mor ve otesi, the rock band who represented Turkey in the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest, will be the opening act for popular band R.E.M. in the season�s final open air rock concert in Istanbul, on 4 October. The band�s lead singer, will also be hosting his own talk show on Haberturk channel, on Thursdays.

Harun Tekin, lead singer of the popular rock band, is currently the host of the weekly talk show Kisa Devre, on Haber Turk channel, every Thursday at 20.00 local time. Together with psychiatrist Cem Mumcu and actress Pelin Batu they will be discussing current affairs and interviewing guests.

Mor ve otesi, who achieved a respectable 7th position at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, will be opening the show at the S.O.S. festival, preceding world famous band R.E.M. and Spiritualized.
